Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

Short version: the extension runs entirely on your own computer. There’s no account, no server, and nothing you do is sent to us or anyone else.

We don’t collect any of your data. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no sign-up. Your Grok conversations never leave your browser.

What the extension does

Grok to PDF, Docx, Markdown exporter adds an “Export” button to Grok (grok.com). When you click it, the extension reads the conversation that’s already open in front of you and turns it into a PDF, a Word (.docx) file, or Markdown, then saves that file to your computer. That’s the whole job.

What we collect

Nothing. We don’t run a backend, we don’t have a database, and there’s no place for your data to go. We don’t see your chats, your account, or anything you export.

What stays on your device

Everything. The conversation is read, cleaned up, and rendered into a file right inside your browser. The finished file is handed to Chrome’s normal download manager. A small list of which messages or chats you’ve ticked for export is kept in your browser’s local storage so your selection sticks between sessions — that never leaves your machine either.

Network requests

The extension only talks to Grok’s own domains, and only to do the export you asked for:

That’s it. The extension makes no requests to us or to any third party, and it doesn’t send your conversation anywhere.

Permissions, in plain English

Third parties

We don’t sell, share, or transfer any user data, because we never collect any in the first place.

Children

The extension isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect anything from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
